Floor-to-ceiling wardrobe in Manningtree

The job

The customer in Manningtree had a long wall in a room with a sloping ceiling on one side and wanted the whole run used for storage. The brief was for something that would not read as a row of wardrobes: no handles, no visible breaks, and a finish that let the units sit back into the room rather than stand out from it.

What we did

We built a large fitted wardrobe running floor to ceiling along the full length of the wall. The doors were made handleless, so the whole run reads as one flat face with nothing fixed to the front. Everything was spray-finished in PU paint matched to the wall colour of the room, so the wardrobe reads as a continuation of the wall rather than as furniture standing against it. Taking the run right up to the ceiling also means the storage follows the ceiling line where it drops away.

The result

A floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobe in Manningtree that uses the entire wall, with a handleless front and a sprayed finish matched to the room. The customer was very happy with it.
